Hi there,
this is probably a stupid question, but is it possible to convert plugins or hacks created for vb3.5 to vb3? The reason that I'm asking this is because there are couple of plugins for vb3.5 that I would like to see for vb3 and tried myself to convert some of the codes to make them work with vb3 by reading some tutorials at https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=110, but the only problem that I'm facing right now is that I don't know where I should add in all the codes that come with the plugin. Should I add all of it's php code to the page that the code should be displayed? For example, if the plugin is suppose to work on Forum Home, should I add the plugin's php code in global.php? I hope that there is a way to do this, and I would appericiate any response, if or if not possible to do, thank you. |

Technically it would be possible, but could be quite a bit of work, depending on what you want to convert.
Most 3.5 hacks are ports of 3.0 hacks anyway, so wouldn't need converting backwards. |

Find where in the 3.5 code the hook is executed, and see if you can hack the code in the same place for 3.0
