We have a problem where mods cannot search for users in the modcp area using the user name search.

Also they cannot click on the users profile and then select user options.

they get a modcp error saying they are not authorised to search for users.

I have checked everything (well obviously i have missed something)

Would anyone have any ideas as to whats causing this problem?

Goto Usergroup Manager and edit Moderators, Goto the bottom and make the group a Super Moderator.

Making them Super Moderator is a bit overdone.

Check their permissions (if they are 'just' regular Moderators) on a forum they are moderator of.
