Default EMERGENCY......ne1 help me here
some ***** has hacked my site and forum and re-directed my traffic to his site.. he is also using VB BUT i cant say 100% but i have a feeling he hasnt got a license [link removed] are the people who hacked my forum..... is there anything legal i can do about it? as i have a feeling i have lost everything since my last backup a few days ago which is quite alot, especially members wise.

Went over there to look at their site, there is nothing there.

There would have to be some type of legal steps you can use, if you can prove that they are the ones that did it. Maybe ask your hosting company to provide logs of where the attack came from and get all those details.

Your problem is in how was this done? Do you know? Was higher folder privs turned on? Those are the things that need to be addressed once you get things back up and running.

i know it was them.... because the site owner and i have spoken, and he admitted to me several times hes a hacker....

he told me he was going to hack [link removed] or sumthin like that.... i go look today and they lost all there members and the site looks different..... he also threatened to hack my site in the past also.... and why would somebody else hack us and re-direct it to HIS site?

By all means come here and ask what to do to prevent people hacking your board, but don't bring your personal disputes and post links to hacker's sites and all. We like to keep this place friendly

he posts the link to his site and says he hacked us

as for dispute with the site

there was none.. me and him where cool... n then he goes and does this

but when they have a problem with there site, they dont come here, they ask other license holders.... so i think the board is illegal

I think that's the right URL.. if you question their validity, then go there and fill out whatever Jelsoft requires to look further into their licensing issues..
