Hi there hackers,
I need a hack that let's me choose which forum should be shown in which style. So it should make it possible for me to say 4 instance, when a certain person goes to the red style, the only forums that will be shown are bla and bli (just examples), and when they goe to another style the forums braal and breej and bli whould be shown. I think this is something 4 the hardcore hacker to realise. PLease let me know whether anybody wants to give it a try!!! |

If you want to hide the forums altogether in ALL screens (eg in search etc. too) according to the user's style choice, well this requires way too much hacking.
But if you want to just make it hidden only in the forumdisplay template you may do it with advanced templates by applying conditionals to the relevant template. I guess Mist did a similiar thing, you can check the hack thread or contact him for further information. However if what you try to do is to make some forums visible/invisible to the users according to their choice, you may find better "keys" than user's style choice. Check here for a different, easier and a better technique.. |
