Replace register button with logoff button when user is logged in?

I noticed there was a logoff button in the images folder.

Ideally if the user is logged in, they do not need to access the register button. I would like to replace that button with the logoff button when the user is logged in.

How do I replace register button with logoff button when user is logged in?
