Creating a custom vB page with Tabs?

I would like to create my own custom page using the Tabs like they are on the Profile page. My head is kind of swimming after reading through member.php and class_profileblock.php and then a tutorial I found here.

Is there a "vBulletin way" of creating a page with Tabs? Please note, it's NOT that I want to simply add tabs to the existing profile page, I am creating an entirely new page. I've already checked out the great tutorial by calorie (for those looking for it, it can be found here) that describes how to add 'em to the profile page.
