I am currently using the RSS feed feature to import RSS feeds as threads on my forums and I am wondering if there is a way to expand the thread because right now it just shows one sentence then links and I'd like to show a lil more than that. Is this possible?

How much text you get in the rss feed is up to the person supplying the feed. Most of them don't want you to get a lot of text because they want you to link to their site and have people go to their site for more text. You may be able to take a look on the site you are getting the feed from and see if they supply any variable to use with the feed to get more text.

Yeah I just noticed that. They only give 1 sentence.... how worthless lol Thank you Lynne.

Some RSS feeds have a <content:encoded> balise which contain the full news.

You can use the {feed:content:encoded} option in the RSS template to use the <content:encoded> instead of <description>.

Is this right for the body template then?

So, your target RSS don't support this mark

.

When you follow a RSS link, you can view a page which last posts. If you look at the source code, you can view the RSS structure used. If some mark contain the complete post, you can display it in vBulletin with {feed:mark_name}, else you can ask the redactor of the RSS for a new version of his RSS feed.
