Hi, I have searched the forum for such a hack, with no luck.
The idea is, I am thinking to close the forum for 3 days every 1 month, allowing the moderators to follow up with the current threads, replying to members queries and moderating articles. during the three days, the members will not be able to add new threads, however they will still able to post replies. any ideas? regards p.s i know that i can use the: Usergroup MAnager ( Post / Thread Permissions ) but if there is a product, it would be great |

Although it would take some moderator time, you can set the forum to have "Moderated" new threads, but still allow new post. The moderator could then spend just a few minutes and delete these new threads.
It tell the new thread poster that his new thread will not be shown until the moderator has allowed it. |
