Navbar problem after setting display:None

Hi all,

I need to selectively disable some Navbar items, which
I do by setting CSS variable display to none. I've found
however that vBulletin doesn't handle this well, because
vbmenu popups then often appear in the wrong position.

Any idea how this can be fixed? I have a temporary
fix in place but I wish there were something better.
