Default div frames? important question

I am using iframes in a custom vbulletin page. I have to use frames to be able to integrate realchat live chat software and another 3rd party mp3 player (wimpy).

The problem is that I cannot get the live chat (left frame) to be fully maximum while the mp3 player (right frame) is full, but not wider than it should be, yet without scroll bars vertical or horizontal. The spec of the mp3 player is 300x361 so height is not a problem. I made both frames 600px height. However, how do I get the left frame to be full width possible without crushing the right frame (actually, forcing it to end up BELOW the live chat frame instead right side).

this is the max I was able to make the left frame without the right frame winding up below the left frame (chat)

<iframe name="bar" src="http://www.talkjesus.com/misc.php?do=page&template=chatroom" width="75%" height="600" border="0" frameborder="0"></iframe>

<iframe name="main" src="http://www.talkjesus.com/bible/music/wimpy.php" width="305" height="600" border="0" frameborder="0"></iframe>

You won't be able to see the chat because you need to be logged in. Anyway, you get the idea by the screenshot.

I should clarify that the way realchat software works, is that the link is random generated (the way its integrated with vbulletin database) so its not just one link for all users basically.

That is why I wanted it in frames, so it does not open in a new window taking up the entire page (and not integrated within a vbulletin page itself).

Someone at another forum suggested to use div instead of iframes.

I added a new template called custom_chat

However, if I wish to include this template automatically in another custom page, what should the code be?

For example, most templates have

$header
$navbar

What would the code be to include the added template named custom_chat?

I tried the below (with and without "custom_" prefix) but it did not pull up the content accordingly.

Code:
$stylevar[htmldoctype]
<html dir="$stylevar[textdirection]" lang="$stylevar[languagecode]">
<head>
$headinclude
  <title>Christian Chat Room</title>
  <meta content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" http-equiv="Content-Type">
  <meta content="Christian Chat Room" name="description">
  <meta content="Christian Chat Room" name="keywords">
<style type="test/css">
<!--
#leftframe {
   display: block;
   height: 600px;
   margin: 0 25% 0 0;
   overflow: scroll;
}

#rightrame {
  float: right;
  width: 25%;
  height: 600px;
  display: block;
  overflow: auto;
}

-->
</style>
</head>
<body>
$header
$navbar

<div id="chatcontainer">

<div id="rightframe">
test
</div>

<div id="leftframe">
$chatroom
</div>

</div>

$footer
</body>
</html>
