There were updates for security in 3.6.6. Even if it doesn't contain updates related to security, it is good practise to keep up-to-date.

i dont get it man how a hacker can hack our whole 3 admin accounts, my site a ran very safe i thought. but some how they still easy log in as me, my password is as long as a book for gods sake.

It's probably caused by a hack you've installed. Some vulnerable hacks can "steal" a login to someone else's account.

jaycop, maybe they get your password from keylogger or trojan ?
There are many ways to be hacked, so not only vbulletin security vulnerability. |

mmm thanks guys,
it was really weird, they easy just logged in using all our admin accounts plus a few mods, stuffed the forum up then put 38,500 guests on the forum. now i have been hacked before but this tops the cake. |
