Moderated thread visibilty question....

Have a question....

We have a couple of sub-forums that we have set up to use as "article" forums.... basically forums which users can post threads in which are used as tech articles and such. Just a single post thread... no replies allowed.

When a normal user posts a new thread here, we have it set to moderate so that an admin has to approve it before it is visible to the general public.

The problem is, once a user submits their new "article", they can no longer see it to make changes to it before it is approved for display. Some of these get lengthy, so they may not complete it and lay it out all in one sitting.

Is there a way that we can keep these as moderated threads, but the author of the the thread can still see it and edit it until an dmin approves it?

I'm working on a different problem in that same (moderation) area. If I stumble upon anything I'll let you know.

I came up with an idea that is "related" to something we did, but just different enough that I'm not sure about it.

Create an "authors" group and place all your authors in there. Then change the code so that even though their posting is waiting to be moderated, anyone in the "authors" group can still see it.

I might be able to find where to put that code if you are running the latest version 3.6.x

One question though, what method are you using to indicate the post requires moderation? (Our application applies to "report post" function).
