I have several main forum categorys and then forums below them that I use essentially as sub categorys. In them I place my forums. I was able to get rid of the NEW THREAD button by setting the forum (sub category) to not open. However it's still showing a row at the bottom of it that I would really like to get rid of because its confusing my users.
I have attached a screen shot for you to see. Also, if I could even get rid of the Display Options row as well since there are no threads in that forum (sub category), that would be great. Can someone tell me how to do this? I have looked around and have seen it done on other sites but can't figure it out. Thanks, Joey |

Set the parent forum to be a category (Act as Forum: No)

If I set it up that way, it then changes how it looks on the main forum so it appears like I have two categorys stacked on top of each other which I dont want. I want it to appear like a forum but when you open it, it shows all my sub forums with no ability to post unless you go into one of them. See screen shot...
