I have installed this template and to make it so all my hacks went into this template I added it as a child template, am I doing this right? Since I did that I have lost the navbar and also there is broken images and the images it is looking for are not in the file these images are

Any help would be appreciated as to why I lose my navbar on this template and where I can find the missing images
