I like the style. The only things that bug me are:

-Header doesn't fit in that well, I would rather see a fluid header, or one the same size as the site. Having it centered as it is now would work, if you could blend the sides into the blue bg more (maybe have the dark blue repeat, and the actual image blend into the blue). edit: I just realized your image is larger than I thought - the sides are a close color to your bg, but not the same!

-Statusicon images are yucky lol... excuse my wording. They don't really match the look of the site much, but to make matters worse you can see white jaggies around them.

Good luck with the new site; it looks good.
