yes, as your quote states, "You might want to use this method if your site consists of static HTML files", which is NOT the case when you use vBUlletin (or any other server-side script). It means that your sitemap was created from the entries found in access log (i.e., already visited pages only).

It might be a good selling point for you to extend this mod to cover an entire web site, not just the vB forum.

Our Sitemap Generator supports "add-on" modules (allows you to include pages for vBulletin hacks/mods you have installed) and extra-urls.txt file where you can manually add any other URLs.
As for automatic including of non-vBulletin related pages, it is a bit out of original idea and will require totally different approach for this.
