I agree with flypaper.
Whatever work John is, or indeed isn't doing, on v3, it isn't a bad product overall.
It may be inferior to ibp in some or all features (I wouldn't know, I haven't tried ibp) and ibp may well get more frequent updates with better communication (again, I wouldn't know) but as it's own product, right now v3 is still pretty good.
Badmouthing John because he isn't updating it (and because he has trouble keeping people informed) is tacky, misguided and really doesn't do any anyone any good.
