vb.org Archive - View Single Post - Storing Backups Locally

I've got a cron running which backs up my database periodically and stores a sql.gz remotely on the server...My question is, what can I do to get my PC to access the server and download these backups regularly? This way I have the backups both locally and remotely...because I would hate to see the server go poof, leaving me with absolutely nothing.

Something that would also back up the files would be great, but not required...what I'm really looking for is something that will retrieve the backups on the server and send them to my local machine - all automatically.
