Right, this is quite a complex problem and is not localised to my site but is happening on a number of sites including here at vB.org

There are a number of / me hacks available. The one used here doesn't work at all in PM's. I'm also using this one which works in PM's but doesn't do quotes or PM replies. I've also tried all the others both in conjuntion with each other and on their own, and so far have not been able to get something that works correctly in posts, quotes, pms, and pm replies.

As it stands, I have got the posts and quotes working correctly by a conjuntion of 2 of the me hacks (one is the link above and I can't recall the source of the otherone). I have been able to disable the / me hack in pm's totally by a bit of creative conditionals, but want to use it in PM's too. The conditional that I have applied works for the normal pm, but doesn't quote right.

I have been trying to add something to one of the hooks that control pm replies as I have code in the newreply_quote hook location which works perfectly. The only problem is that there doesn't appear to be a suitable hook, or maybe it is my code that is duff.

So, can anyone come up with a / me hack that works correctly in pm's.

eg, I pm boofo and he quotes my message in reply so we should have
