First of all, the reason people don't like your header is because it's too tall. It takes up too much of the screen and people are wanting to look at the content of your website, not your logo. Second of all, simple is better... Here's a free logo that matches your background and I used your forum colors for the font color.. If you don't like it or don't use it, that's fine, but it's shorter, states the name of your site, and in my opinion your users will be happier since they'll now see where they're at AND be able to read the content of your site without having to scroll down first.
