I like it

I would limit the amount of the last active posts...way too many, imo..maybe keep it at 5 or 10. There are at least 3 different places for links, maybe too many there, maybe cut the hot topics in half as well. I think it is just an overload on the portal page, makes it hard to focus and read. But I think you are on the right path...keep up the great work!
