Sounds like it would be an extension of the attachment code in vB, and combined w/ some of the vB video player hacks that already exist.

I'd HIGHLY recommend using AJAX or something to have the loading of the audio / video an option to the end user, as that would certainly save the site owner money when it comes to the monthly bill, and the end user when it comes to loading times.

I'd also recommend linking size / length limits to user groups, as higher limits could be linked to a paid service
