Okay, I'm trying to get around having to make a hack to make you need a certain reputation level to join a public user group, so I did this.

1. Added a public user group for people who want to view certain forums.
2. Added a promotion from that user group to the group that actually can view the forums, based on reputation.

However, the promotion is not working. (Yes, I ran the scheduled task that does the promotions.) The user stays as a registered user with the additional group of those who want to view the forums.

Any help?
