Ok, I'll be more clear with an example.

Right now i have my forums in www.url.com/stupid (as in stupid folder name)

I'd like my forums in www.url.com or forums.url.com

I know redirecting is an option and that's fine but i was wondering if i could just move it all to one of those 2 listed without having it be a big hastle. Like recoding everything.
