I apologize...I may have given you wrong information here. It's a Friday. The fact that you're able to view the image regardless of the full path permission may not have been the problem. The CHMOD for directories should ordinarily be 755 and files at 644, however.

*BTW...Whoever designed your site's logo did a nice job.
