vb.org Archive - View Single Post - Installing vB on Unix... a question.

I wish to install a vBulletin forum on my company's Unix server for our support group. I have access to a SQL database. My question is, what else would I need server wise? I do not know much about Unix at all, but the admin gave me access... does vB require a Linux server? What do I need to know in terms of PHP? Will it just work if attach to a database and run the install script?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
