I'm almost there with my rewrite of your example code, just need to sit down for an evening to get it finished, I look forward to linking you in.

Question, unfortunately the Profile Comment System has been abandoned by its author who has now gone off to start an even larger project the same as this one here.

Is there any other comment system that you could recommend?

I noticed that Photoplog has a comment system which could be put into any page, seems daft though to install a Gallery just for the comments!
