1.HTML would be a good thing. Just have it restricted like the webpage/guestbook hack does. only specific html code is valid. Almost all blogs are html to be honest only "we" use vb code the rest of the world doesnt. You want to cater to the client.

2.As well you should break the boxes... most blogs is one big box and at the end of each entry there is a way to coment or view the comments. Yeah that would mean your templates would change and comments would only show on the entry page not the main users journal template.

the boxes dont look good it gives a forum look and these are blogs.

3.It would be nice if they could tag blogs and have that sit on their page (say the top not the side) you know like some blogs they like in perticular. Many call this tagging or whatever.

4.The comments should have the useres avatar. that would be hot. Have it in legacy though the other way on top will look silly or give admin the option.

5. You should put some default css that the user can use for thier blog and is contained within your code.

6.You should give the option to speperate the vb buddy list from the forums... default should be the fourms friends IF YOU WANT IT PRIVATE. they get confused on that big time at first. If they want "high" level privacy they should beable to then pick.

7.Ignored members should default to blocked on the journal.

8.I am sure you saw my journal layout you should have the XML tag box like I do I think people like that.

9. The option to have a banner location on the side. I placed mine there... if you want i can give that as an addition Im not a php pro so I wish I could have it work by x distance place x banners... because 1 small post the banner looks good but 2 large posts and the banner disapears because its miles behind uptop the page. (that slidding javascript/dhtml sucks dont do it)

10. Have an auto PM to the users friends that they have added a new blog entry. Have the option to turn that feature off in options for everyone. That way if I could care less that you have a blog I will remove it. (sadly this would work best if it was part of the vbfriends hack. reason if I have you as a buddy and you have me as a buddy then send the pm. One way could start spam)

11. last have it inform users that they got a new comment.

12 The most important have it make a RSS feed of the top x feeds. by admin choice so we can put them into feedster or Technorati. (Newest journals, latest entries, most comments and most viewed RSS feeds of x limit 15,20,30 whatever)

As it is now your stuff is pritty strong... I am telling you if you have it installed this way you can sell the product because blogs right now DO NOT have fourm features... you have alot ahead of them with this product your creating.
