The problem is religion.
The majority of people believe in some type of higher power. The problem is that people believe that their God is the only God and no one else's God matters. Before you think this guy is crazy just think about major events in the history of the world. Almost every conflict is somewhat rooted in religion and most are deeply rooted in religion.
my answer is this. Everyone should read a text of a religion other then thier's at least once in their life. They should meet and become friends with someone of another religion and learn thier customs. I think this could make the world a better place.
Please keep this thread appropriate and do not directly refer to anyone's religion as the best or the worst.

It's not as much religion, but diversity of culture, as most genocide and prejiduce comes in through more than one variable, but good some up. But, in a broader picture I would label the contriversy nowadays as "East VERSUS west".
I agree with you to the most part, but the idea leaves room for a result of more contriversial outcome, where x religion will study x religion for x amount of time and the x person will come to dislike x religion even more.
By the way, what influenced you to post this here (just curious.
