does a hack/modification exist for vb3.5 which adds advertising or other pictures ( gifs) between two forums in the forum home?

for explanition: i want to go together with another forum , so i would linke to add the header of this forum over the category , where this new one starts...

i got the advice to add this:

<if condition="in_array($forumid, array(1))">

in the forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost , but this is not working . i tried serveral places , but never the picture was displayed!!!
