Oh, yes, absolutely. It would be awkward for someone to be "welcomed" by a new thread... before they were actually approved by a mod. I mean, what if the new signup is not approved?

That would be a bad faux-pas.

I think I'll hold off on this hack until it's easy to determine WHEN the welcome message gets posted. Thanks though...
