vb.org Archive - View Single Post - Make Custom Profile fields into username

On our board we require the users first and last name to be their userid. I would like them to, on registration, just fill in their first name and last name in a custom profile field and not fill in the username field at all.

Is this possible? Is there already something out there like this? I have been search but haven't been able to find anything.
