Thanks, but that's not quite what I was looking for.

I want my moderators to post as normal, as they currently do when they are involved in day to day posting as a user, but when they have to edit someone's post I want the part they enter to be stood out compared to what the user's typed.

The above idea will work fine, apart from users will be able to use it if they wish. I will put a warning on the BBCode that it's against the rules to do so and hopeful no one will, but it would be better if that was BBCode that only people I gave permission to use it could use it.

It was an excellent mod on PHPBB, just a shame that I can't convert it to work on vBulletin.
