i don't understand why you don't understand it. you think styles can define a forum, but hacks do not? what the.... i can think of so many ways to make my forum unique by using custom hacks.
the hack is their own intellectual property. they have every right to keep it to themselves, or sell it for fee. i do not find it disgusting at all.

I don't personally need this but it makes me mad to hear about admins who don't share I can understand it if somebody doesn't want to share a style, I don't share my styles too as they are a thing that defines a forum's character but I find it disgusting that they don't want to share hacks, especially in non-profit sites
