What code and where would the code need to be added to generate non-vb urls? Am not sure how to start to create addons for VB mods.
If you have the sitemap generator for non-vb urls you can still use the simultaniously with vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap Generator - they will just supplement each other.
If you prefer to create own addon for vBSEO Sitemap Generator, you can use addons/vbseo_sm_vba.php file as an example on how to do it.

You can try to open the sitemap files in the browser to check if they are accessed correctly.

Also you have to submit sitemap.txt.gz to Yahoo manually.
