vb.org Archive - View Single Post - How do I display text next to category title?

On the forum homepage, I would like to display an extra link next to the titles for some of the forums that are in 'category' mode. I don't see a hook that will allow me to do this, but I have seen cases where AJAX lets you hook into places that you can't with hooks alone. Is this possible for what I'm doing?

If not, I'll have to modify the vB source, which I'd much rather not have to do.
