I'm talking about subforums not totally different boards. Maybe you can think of a better solution to implementing this. I run a board for a gaming community that has teams and such. we want each team to have the abililty to have and control their own subforums and look/style and bans without it affecting the rest of the board. Separating to private forums (another url) for each team just makes it more difficult to keep the community together/united/informed.

and thanks for the suggestion about the public joinable group, I haven't ever tried that. do they enter members' names that they want to allow in the group or do people have to request to join.. and does a request send a pm or email or how's that work?
