Perhaps if you want to attain more active members, and more respectable quality (not content) focused members who will actually contribute something towards your forums appat from a slumbering post count you should try and learn more about the ethics of advertising. e.g., dont run around like a headless law defying chicken with no common morals just to get a couple of people view your site in pity.
