I would LOVE a button that lets users go ONE LEVEL UP, back the thread list level (ie. one level up in the breadcrumbs from where you are).

ideally in the postbit (a button next to quick reply perhaps, and as a link inbetween the PREVIOUS and NEXT thread navlinks at the bottom of threads)

I almost ALWAYS need to go back up to the thread list level of a forum once I finished posting or reading. and this is actually a fairly common navigation necessesity for many sites and forums (certainly for bbs boards in Korea).

it should be fairly easy to make I imagine and I bet a very universally useful feature. (akin to the "TOP" button and multi-quote buttons I live for.
