It could be done with a few simple queries, i think i already saw some other gave them in reply to one of your threads.

The problem might be the reopening, since i am not sure if Scheduled Tasks will be executed once the forum is closed. You might need to schedule these in the operating system.

Still didn't have time to look at it for you, and i just heard today that i will be out of the country until next weekend. So best is to try to find someone else who have time to look at this for you.
