Pardon the newbie questions, I know nothing about IRC. So basically from what I can tell is that I register a channel on whichever host I go with, and then pay a small fee to have the channel kept alive by the host, correct? Then EIRC is a java applet that I run, pointed at my channel/server, and stick into a vB page using something like webtemplates?

Once I have the channel up and running, what is doing the integration with vBulletin on that page? eg: Where is it getting the username from?
