Ive found a way with javescript but it adds a delay to the page load, simplest way would be via php but no php is allowed in the templates (and i dont have the knowledge on how to code the php somewere else, then to just call the output to display the latest threads)

im upgrading to 3.5 now so maybee the new hooks feature may be able to help me
