No, sometimes it does. try getting some strange links. Or just try about about 20 different ones. You will see that with some vBulletin inserts "%" spaces in the links on some. Also your link if you noticed opened in a new browser window. Not the same Browser window which is not what I want.

If ed2k links open in the same browser window, you still stay on the same page because it starts the emule program or adds a link to it. It doesn't change your site page to a new site page. Like a normal URL would do. So it working as a target="_self" link is the best way for them to avoid having to keep closing new windows when links are clicked.

Go try about 20-30 other links, get some strange ones with funny codes in them. and some long ones too. You will see what I mean when you test them. I'll also try and find one to give you an example. But try it on your own board first not here. This siite might have been coded a little different compared to a default vBulletin board. Who knows!

Ok I found one. I'm presuming from the link list to add a link you choose Other as the type of link to add, if you didn't let me know so I can try it the way you did it.

I can't add it here because it doesn't give me a "drop down" list of link types to choose from, but try this on your own board. It only allows me HTTP links here which is no good at all, it needs to: Other.
