Hi,

Was wondering if anyone knew how this could be done, or can help me achieve this.

Basically, running a clan, I need to be able to display the last 8 characters of a users GUID in their profile, for anyone to read.

As clan leader, I need to see all 32 charachters of the field,
But Joe Public needs only see the last 8.

What would be perfect if I could specify the number of *'s to show in the field.... (so i may only want the first 2 characters of the public user profile field to be masked)

So, basically as Admin i see:
78309189837489374893274893749832

The member sees:
78309189837489374893274893749832

But everone else sees:
************************93749832

This application could be used for all sorts more.. for CD-Key's, serial numbers, Credit Card numbers, etc. So could be a very handy modification for privacy concerns. Adding encryption in the database, may also be needed for some info, and some sort of warning message, stating that the information may be visible to admin, or encrypted.... just ideas of how it could be expanded upon.
