I like the style. Although the graphical header/footer kinda contrast your tables which don't use any images and are just left as default. I suggest that if you decide to make the header/footer graphical, do the same to your forum tables too.

Ya I know there are a lot of forums, I am thinking of breaking them down into public groups that people can join.

I am confused about your 2nd comment, what forum tables are you speaking of? The header and footer appear on everything??
