I already tell my members that their pms may be viewed. It's stated in the rules document. I also would like to use this hack so that I can search MY Private messages because vbulletin doesn't support it, but I don't think I should be forced to link back. too bad.

What's really stupid is you can read pms without any special software - it's right there in the mysql database. Also there are other addons that let you read PMS if you need to.
