Hello. We recently upgraded our forums (http://www.parent-2-parent.com/forum) from 3.0.7 to 3.5R2.

I have always had a very LARGE number of smilies installed on our forums. There has never been any discernable slowness with them.. but now, members are complaining if they click on the link to "more" the window which opens does so very, very slowly and remains blank for a long time. In extreme circumstances their computer freezes.

Here's some of the complaints:

Having problems with the smile box? Everytime I click "more" it takes forever to load, than my computer freezes, and I have to close down. It is not big deal, it could just be my computer.

It takes ages to load here too and I thought it had locked but eventually it did come up after several minutes.

Any thoughts? I did install a hack that put the smilies in the quick reply box. But they are telling me that it's happening in both the smilies from the quick reply and from the post reply.
