I know I sound like an old fart saying this, but it is very true: whatever you do don't mess up your education. It may seem like a good idea to skip class and party with your friends, etc., but it's not like you get a second chance at high school. Also- you can slack off in class and most teachers will push you along because they don't want to deal with you again next year, but you didn't really learn what you needed to know. Ultimately the teachers don't care because it's not their education that you are messing up. Your education is a valuable thing, and you should take full advantage of it, and what your school has to offer. At school, just like in life, you have a lot of acquaintances, but only a few real friends. Don't get caught up in the cliques (easy to say) or trying to be popular and instead concentrate on school, and your few close friends.
