vb.org Archive - View Single Post - banner ad halfway down posts list?

Hi, I have seen some vb3 forums where a list of threads or posts will contain a banner ad about half way down. I currently run phpadsnew banners in my header, so figure I could call the banner to also show midway in posts lists, but I also need the banner to only show for general members, I don't want subscribers to see them.. I can't seem to find a hack for this.. thanks if you can link me to one!
