well maybe a link to that thread in the install would be nice.

I've installed several other plugins/hacks and I figured uploading the xml via plugin system would work. Since it seems there's several ways to do it why not specify which?

and I never said it was your job or responsibility to do it, I was just making a suggestion which I figured would help other people who had a code deficiency like myself.

well according to that thread you linked to the way I first tried it (upload from pc/ftp to site) was the correct way, and that's the way that failed for me giving me the 'invalid file specified error'.
